Mari Skoultchi

Growing up in the suburbs of NJ, dance and performing arts have always been a passion for Mari. She grew up dancing everything from ballet, jazz, latin, musical theatre and hip hop styles.

Mari graduated from Wagner College with a BA in Theatre and minor in Spanish then moved to NYC soon after. As an adult she was introduced to more dance styles including contemporary, street jazz and heels. After performing professionally in various theatre gigs including a national tour, she lost touch with performing amidst the pandemic.

Mari started to rediscover her love for dance when she found Free Mind, the Studio. She has been taking class here since February 2024, and hasn’t looked back. She is also a member of Free Mind, The Dance Company.

Mari is so grateful to be a part of the Free Mind community. Her goal is to provide a safe space where dancers of all levels and backgrounds can express themselves through movement. Mari’s choreography style reflects femininity, sensuality, sass and personal flair. She is passionate about finding one’s personal style and individuality as a dancer and hopes to encourage this through her classes.
