Jacklyn Rosa is a mother, educator, producer,  playwright and performing arts artist. She is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Artists for Creative Theatre, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the arts in NYC. Born and raised in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, she loved to dance and began dancing and acting classes at El Puente Art Center and soon became a Performer/Peer Educator at Teatro El Puente when she was 16 years old. Her experiences there led her to become very passionate about social justice, creative writing, and conflict resolution, inspired by Augusto Boal's Theatre of the Oppressed. This led her to study theater and begin a journey of self-love, spiritual growth, and dedication to art and education. She studied at Empire State College and received her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Education in 2017. In 2023 Jacklyn graduated as an honor student receiving her Masters of Science in Teaching at Fordham University. She has both performed on stage and worked behind the scenes in several theater venues such as the Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre and La Tea. Jacklyn has always had a passion for dance, taking ballet as a child and has performed Bomba, a traditional dance from Puerto Rico.
