Madz's passion for dance has always pushed her to be the artist she is today. Madz started dancing at the young age of two and she hasn't stopped since. She grew up in Roanoke, VA as a competitive dancer. She won many awards such as Life of the Show, Senior Miss Ultimate Starz, and Inspiring Choreography but was most recognizable by her performance quality. When she graduated high school she decided to continue her love for dance and became a BFA dance major at Radford University. She worked with many professional choreographers and well known Professors. She was cast in many pieces. Some of her favorites being Mother Ginger in the Nutcracker, Lead role in Heavy Heart, and Zwitterion. Madz also had the opportunity to create work that will follow her for a lifetime. Post graduation, she moved to NYC to further her dance career. She is now a lead dance teacher with a charter school, dancing in a professional company, and now excited to teach the wonderful dancers and artists at Free Mind the Studio and run Free Mind, the Dance Company!
